ABOUT FD LONGO

FD Longo was born and raised in a small community in the United States.  An interest in art started at a very young age.  At that time, his inner creativity was constricted within the confinements of the limited art curriculum.  Twenty years later, FDL returned to his passion and turned abstract painting into a profession. 

The base of his creative style is the unrestricted free roam inside of a city’s fixed boundaries. A place where an overabundance of freedom will overflow out of a tightly controlled environment.   FDL describes the creative process as an adaptation to what the evolution of the painting is giving him.  The painting is not constrained to his idea and is given the power to diverge to define itself.    

FD Longo currently works from his studio in his home, acrylic being his dominant medium.
